Our sacramental service of healing and renewal called Sojourner’s Chapel was at 8:00 am in our Chapel. It is discontinued for now.
Each week we celebrated Holy Communion, and shared the Biblical practice of healing prayers and the use of anointing oil. Anointing with oil is a symbol of God’s healing presence and the outpouring of the Holy Spirit.
This service had some unique elements within its 45-minute time frame. The music was both sung and instrumental, with emphasis upon meditation and spiritual refreshment. Silence was also a part of this service – a quiet time to pray, meditate, or feel the presence of the Holy Spirit.
For our congregation and visitors, this service is an opportunity for communion and a place for those times when we may have special prayer needs. The Pastors lead this service and while the order of the service may change, the basic elements remain the same.
